Paradise Lost Revisited at Circus of Words
Thu, Apr 8 2010 Stage and Page with Pat Donnelly
April may not be the cruellest month, but it is one of the busiest. Which means that intriguing events can slip by.
One thing I really don't want to miss this year is the 6th annual Circus of Words, slated for May 1st at the Segal Centre, having re-located this year from its habitual haunt at Sala Rosa.
Paul Van Dyck will be presenting an excerpt of his stunning take on John Milton's Paradise Lost as part of this cultural mash-up that brings together poets, actors, musicians and what-have-you. Poets Endre Farkas and Carolyn Marie Souaid call themselves the ringmasters of this event, which also includes actor/writer Jessica Rose, Groupe de poésie moderne, singer/spoken word artist Meryem Sacia, a musician named Monk-E and a singer/songwriter named Franklyne.
Talent to burn, showcased on a $20 ticket.
